Updates to Jay Patel's site, newest first. The design decisions behind them live in the [design system](https://jayptl.me/design-system).

## Updates

### Sep 28, 2026

**The big one.** A Command Deck on Cmd K, eased mouse-wheel scrolling, a static blur band at the bottom edge, a desktop control dock, and twelve new hand-drawn ink marks.

New pages: [contact](https://jayptl.me/contact), [book a call](https://jayptl.me/book), [now](https://jayptl.me/now), [uses](https://jayptl.me/uses), [colophon](https://jayptl.me/colophon), [AI](https://jayptl.me/ai), and this changelog.

Experience rows you can open, a year of commits as a grid, status lines on the project cards I can vouch for, and a few toys on the About page.

### Sep 27, 2026

Seven one-page resume PDFs, one per role. The hero reveal's first and last lines are locked for good.

### Sep 25, 2026

Navbar menus open on a calm hover and close when you move on. Every leftover animation moved onto the single snap curve; bouncy and infinite loops removed.

### Sep 20, 2026

The motion law: one curve, exits faster than entries, content swaps only while hidden, reduced motion shows the finished page.

### Sep 16, 2026

The redesign's taste written down: two themes that never mix, four type voices, hand-drawn doodles with HUD accents, and analytics only with consent.
